Experience

For the past twenty years, I have dedicated at least ten hours a week tutoring high school and college students. If you live on the west side, there is little chance that you do not have a friend or neighbor that I have tutored. My goal is to identify individual student’s gifts and strengths, and then show the students how to leverage their own talents, enabling them to develop their own specific study skills and work habits. This will lead to better grades and test scores in the short term, and transfer over to superior performance in the workplace in the long term as well. I am very familiar with the high schools and their curriculum. This enables me to individualize teaching techniques. Finding different approaches to bring out the strengths in a diversity of students has been instrumental in developing my teaching and tutoring methodology.
