I hold a master's in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where I was awarded the Education Innovation Fellowship. As an undergraduate, I studied mathematics and Spanish at the University of Akron.
Experience
Over the past 10 years, I have excelled as a math tutor, gaining highly specialized knowledge of Algebra, Pre-Calc, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Statistics. During this time, I have carefully developed an approach to mathematics instruction that helps students leverage their core academic strengths to succeed at any level of math, even when it might not be their favorite subject. From the age of 5, I have participated in Spanish immersion programs, and majored in Spanish as an undergraduate. While teaching the language over the past 15 years to speakers of all levels, I have developed a personalized approach to helping students improve their speaking, listening, reading, writing, and grammar. A lifelong enthusiast of the language and culture, I have traveled to Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.
