I have my PhD in American Studies from the University of Maryland. I also have my MFA in Creative Writing from University of Southern California. I also have my BA in English, with a minor in history, from the University of Pennsylvania.
Experience
As a professor for the past ten years in the English, Arts + Humanities, and American Studies departments, I have a passion for and love of teaching. From writing an argumentative essay to analyzing the cultural implications of social media, my focus is on making students better critical thinkers and stronger communicators. I have tutored for over four years, and taught at various universities across the country for the last ten years. My undergrad degree from the University of Pennsylvania is in English and History, while my Masters is from USC in Creative Writing and my PhD is in American Studies. My dedication to and knowledge of academia inspires me to instill that same excitement in my own students.
