My name is Jamie and I recently received my B.S. in Nutritional Science from Pepperdine University. I will be a candidate for a Masters in Public Health beginning fall 2012.
Experience
I have served as a mentor/tutor at Camp David Gonzales by helping young men to prepare to take their GED exam. I have informally tutored family and friends in subjects, specifically surrounding writing, science and math. During my collegiate career I have taken Cell Biology, Human Physiology, Microbiology, General Chemistry, Physiological Chemistry, College Algebra,and Biostatistics. I served as a volunteer in the Patient Care Unit Teen Lounge at Children's Hospital in St. Louis. I have also served as a mentor to high school students at John Muir High School through the Flintridge Operating Foundation. I recently traveled to 12 countries during 2011 alone. I am a Gates Millennium Scholar and have participated in multiple internship/research programs.
